From there it can travel up to the bladder, if not treated it can keep going up to the kidneys. Some of the symptoms are burning when you urinate, a frequent and intense urge to urinate, pain or pressure in the back and lower abdomen, and strange smelling urine. Yeast infection is totally different, it's a fungus that lives in the vagina in small numbers. An infection means too many yeast cells are growing. Symptoms to look out for are itching, pain, burning, a clumpy white discharge such as cottage cheese. Either one of this conditions should be treated immediately to avoid further complications.
