In some ways, I consider myself a veteran of cancer treatment. In the last five years, I have been diagnosed and battled two primary cancers. From experience, I can say getting things done before treatment is essential. Getting the housework and grocery shopping done before the day of chemotherapy helps reduce your workload once the chemo fatigue sets in. Making a double recipe and freezing the second was one way I was certain my family had dinner while I was in the hospital for cancer related surgery.
