Hello tnt07,

Adenomyosis occurs when endometrial tissue, which normally lines the uterus, is present within and grows into the muscular wall of the uterus. The uterus may double or triple in size. Although a woman with adenomyosis may not notice that her uterus is enlarged, she will notice that her lower abdomen appears bigger or feels tender. This sounds like what you are experiencing.

If your gynecologist doesn't think you have adenomyosis, what is the cause of your symptoms? Where is the hemorrhagic cyst located? Is the cyst a suspected cause of your enlarged abdomen?

Has your physician recommended a gastrointestinal evaluation? I am wondering if there might be something going on with your gastrointestinal tract. Possible causes of a blotted abdomen include celiac disease,a food intolerance or a food allergy.

Regards,

Maryann
