I can't really say whether using your own Aloe is okay or not. My main concern is that people don't put anything near your eyes that could cause irritation which could lead to permanent scarring on the cornea of the eye.
Aloe for wound healing and soothing skin has been shown to be helpful. One would have to research on their own about whether is belongs in one's eyes as everything we put on our eyelashes does come in contact with the eye itself.
