You don't feel like eating a balanced diet, when having treatment.you just have to eat what you feel you are able to get down.
It's not really a good articleIts has no actual facts in it, to help a cancer patient.Of course we know we have to eat a balanced diet, but how? When we are so sick?.So easy to say, but, when sick from chemo, you are lucky to eat anything much.
I ate scrambled egg, and mashed sweet potato, on my bad days, after treatment, and sucked on lots of ice cubes.Thats all I felt like.Thats all I could get down.Consatantly nauseated and constant headache, even with Meds.Thats without talking about keeping fluids down, and trying to keep bowels working efficiently.and a million other things.
Get fed up with reading these articles that some learned person reckons we should do, it's so unrealistic to expect a cancer patient to manage eating a balanced diet.
What a cancer patient really needs is lots of never ending loving support.Friends who mow lawns, without asking, people to come to chemo and radiotherapy treatment and just hold our hands.Friends to come and have a cuppa and talk about normal things on our good days.No free cancer advice thanks. No holier than tho diet advice, thanks,no supposed natural 'cures,' for cancer...just loving support.
