the answer to this is simple....liver rules eyes and skin, when the liver is over toxic or stressed from its correlating emotion which is anger, frustration and resentment, it will detoxify expressing through the skin by breaking out in a rash or through the eyes by twitching or when fiery hot anger arises could present with the physical manifestation of pink eye.
