Hello Anon,

Thanks for posting! After having a baby, many women suffer from what is known as the 'baby blues'. This is a normal reaction to the surge and fluctuations in hormones post-partum. However, when this pesists, it is no longer the baby blues and is considered post-partum depression (and this can progress into post-partum psychosis if there are EVER any thoughts about hurting your child).

If you feel like you may have post-partum depression or you may be depressed without any connection to pregnancy-- please read these articles and may sure you see a therapist that can help you--whether it is through therapy alone, or medications if needed.
