You don't necessarily have to experience pain to have a miscarriage since there are many different types of miscarriages. As far as the "clot" sometimes the placenta is low-lying, and it could simply be that. But other times, it could mean a miscarriage. That's why if you are bleeding with clots-- it is better to go to the emergency room, where you will also be questioned, tested for pregnancy and have an ultrasound-- than to wait until monday.
