It happens so quickly, my dear husband has had dementia for many years then Sept of 2010 he falls and breaks his wrist, then Feb 2, 2011 he falls and breaks his hip. Both required surgery and the latter caused him to go right into Alzheimers....He is now in a nursing home and under hospice care! This is the worst disease of all; I am a cancer survivor...but no one Survives Alzheimers!
