hi rose,

I was diagnosed about a week ago. I went to urgent care for the pain. It's weird because the pain is the EXACT same one that i started having was i was 13. The pain was in my lower right pelvic area. They didn't test me for a UTI or yeast infection. I'm pretty sure i have only had a UTI and yeast infection once. That was when i was pregnant. Other than that i can't remember ever having them when i was younger. I've never had an STD in my life. I have been tested several times along with my pap smears.

I dont know what to think of being diagnosed with PID. I read up on it and found that a lot of woman are hospitalized because of it. And with in the ten years of the ongoing pain i have only been to the doctor three times. And all three times, except the last visit, were unable to figure out the problem. The other times when the pain would come back i would just deal with the pain and rest. On the third day it would go away. Then come back a few months later. I dont think its PID. I read that if you go untreated you can get a lot worse. That was never the case with me. It simply went away on its own. Even the though the pain was pretty severe.
