Breastfeeding should be viewed as the normal method of feeding human children, just as it is not questioned as the normal way for other mammals to feed their offspring. Books and advertising about babies should include pictures of moms nursing their babies. This can be done without explicit exposure of the breast to avoid inflaming people who have embarrassment issues. When my son was a baby, he went straight from the breast to a sippy cup, then had a baby sister who was nursing. At a local function, he saw a mom bottle-feeding her newborn, and came running with an espression of dismay, " Mrs Smith's breasts must be broken, she is feeding her baby with a bottle thing!" This should be our healthy reaction to artificial feeding!
