Any change in pigmentation should be monitored, and if you notice a change or if the skin seems irritated in any way, you should go to see your gynecologist or dermatologist. Skin pigment changes can be caused by a number of things, and should be considered as you would any new freckle, lesion, or mole on your skin. Have it checked annually, and sooner if you notice a change.
