Anon - There are many factors that can cause swollen lymph nodes. They include infection, a virus, inflammation and cancer. In response to your question I reviewed several celiac disease forums and found that a number of people had complaints of swollen lymph nodes, in a number of different places in the body, prior to being diagnosed and starting a gluten-free diet. Several mentioned that the inflammation went down after they became gluten-free but it did take several months.

It's good that you are having everything checked out, and having the mammogram and ultrasound, to determine what's going on. Let us know what you find out, and we wish the best for you. Pat
