I will be undergoing a hymenectomy in a few weeks and I am so glad there is now information on the Internet about it. I did try to have sex before I knew about my condition and it was extremely frustrating - I had no idea why it just wouldn't work. I hope knowledge about this becomes more widespread so girls learn younger why they have problems with tampons and sex. Thank you for writing about this topic that definitely doesn't get talked about enough!
