Hello,

I want to say i share your pain. My son has anoxic brain injury due to a foreign aspiration while he was having a snack at the age of 4. He is now 7 and I want to share with you that he has come a long way and has made remarkable progress. My son was in coma and after waking up he enter vegetative state. Doctors told us the worst and even encourage us to disconnect him. They gave us no hope for him, they said he would never breath on his own, eat, walk, run play with his brother and even call me mom. Well I'm please to say that God can make miracles happen and make the impossible possible. My son now walks, runs, eats practically everything that he wants, plays and fights with his brother and he even calls me ma at times. I have a video of him on Youtube. Search for Ikems story: Anoxic Brain Injury and you could witness how much he has accomplish. With faith love and patience anything is possible. We are a very lucky family Ikem has two parents that love him and people that care for him. We continue in our journey seeking new options and treatments for him to continue with his progress. We are hoping to do a stem cell infusion by using his sisters umbilical cord blood. The process its very pricey and we are still waiting for Duke University to response if it is possible. Have hope and believe in ur love one, God Bless
