I have had the same problem. Three yrs ago I lost my voice for five months. Went to a specialist and was told it was due to acid reflux. I have been on medication for that since and this past Labor Day I woke up and it was gone again. My doctor prescribed allergy medication and double the acid reflux meds and still no voice.
