The medication your dermatologist prescribed is a combination drug that has anti-fungal actions as wells as immune suppressing actions. What this means is that it would theoretically clear up a rash that was either fungal in nature or a dermatitis.
If the medication is not relieving the symptoms of the rash then you have likely been misdiagnosed. If you describe your rash in detail I may be able to give you some other ideas of what it could be. Here is what I would like to know.
Exact locations
Color
Pattern - shape or scattered etc.
Are there raised bumps or is it flat
Is it dry and scaly or does it weep
Are there blisters
Has the medication made any difference in the quality or severity of the rash
