Rosa, Miscortes,

I doubt that the dad will ever ask himself, "Was it worth it," because he seems to be a narcissist, someone who believes they are the center of the universe and that what they do is right and that if they are accused of something, they have been wronged. I am sure that in the dad's mind, he has moved completely past the part where he thought up this scheme without regards to others, and has gone straight to the place where he is "wrongly accused" and "a victim of the media" (even though he did call the TV station before he called 911. WHAT?)

I heard one estimate of the rescue costs -- between law officers on the ground, helicopters in the air, the number of personnel used, and the distance covered -- could hit $2 million. That's taxpayer money that will probably never be recovered.

I fear for how the 6-year-old boy will process this after being used as a pawn and being made to be in the center of this massive deception. Apparently, the poor boy threw up on two tv shows the next morning. I can't say I blame him.
