Periods tend to change over the years and you may always start at the beginning of the month and then all of a sudden you start in mid-month. This is common and usually there is nothing to worry about. We have all been there and have worried about it just as you are.
If at any time, you begin to experience other symptoms, you should seek medical attention immediately. Otherwise, your period will start to become regular again in time although it may be different from what you have always experienced.
You also mentioned that you are underweight which is common for irregular periods. Is being underweight a concern for you (eating disorders)? Do you over exercise? Eat healthy? Under eat?
