Thanks Diane. I was really inspired by this philosophy when I saw an episode of Secret Lives of Women on the WE channel. The topic was extreme weight loss. One of the gals used to weigh over 300 pounds and lost over 170 pounds within two years through diet and exercise alone. She went on to become a fitness instructor/trainer and went from a size 24 to a size 2 I believe. In one of the interviews they conducted, she said the best advice she could give is not to think of how much weight you have to lose because that will just overwhelm most people. Her philosophy was to just take one day at a time and focus on what you need to do for that day to become a healthier person, instead of a certain size or shape. I thought, wow what an eye opening moment for me because I do tend to become overwhelmed when I think of how much weight I want to lose, with this new mindset I can be successful.
