Hi, Pheonix, and welcome to EmpowHer! Thanks so much for your question. We're glad you found us. And you made me laugh out loud when you talk about confusion. I hear you!

I'm so sorry that you had a stroke, but it sounds as though you made a successful recovery. Let's see if I can give you some information that will help.

Do the doctors know what caused the atrial fibrillation? Does it happen often? Did you have an ECG (an electrocardiagram?)

Warfarin sodium is the generic name for Coumadin, which is a blood thinner (to help prevent clots). The fact that you're on that medicine should help you avoid a stroke in the case of future atrial fibrillation. So that's good. Are you also taking a daily aspirin?

Did your doctor believe you have any circulation problems?

For any others who may be reading this too, here's a very good page on stroke prevention:

For you, Pheonix, here's a good page on how fish oil (Omega-3 oils) help a stroke patient:

And here's a thorough page on all the good benefits you can get by taking Omega-3 fatty acids:

Does that help? Can I answer anything more for you?
