Relax, when taken within 72 hours, and you did, after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure, such as the condom breaks, Plan B is effective in preventing pregnancy. But, changes in your period, lower abdominal pain as well as nausea, fatigue, headache, dizziness and breast tenderness are side effects of this emergency contraceptive. It may take a few months before your menstrual cycle returns to normal.
