Pregnancy tests work to detect levels of a hormone called HCG in your urine. That hormone usually isn't present until about the time you miss your period. So testing before that time is usually just a waste of stress and money.
And most pregnancy symptoms do not start until around that time either. Some women do feel like they "know" they are pregnant even before they miss their period. But for most women, the fatigue, tender breasts, nausea or cravings don't kick in for a few weeks.
So it's too soon to tell anything, really, until you're late on your period. Does that help?
