This is a difficult question. It is probably unlikely that you could be pregnant because your boyfriend did not ejaculate and penetrate. However, if only one sperm leaked out on the tip of his penis, that sperm could have entered your vagina when he touched you. If your period was due to start before the attempted sex, then it is likely that you already ovulated (an egg released from an ovary). An egg lives for 12 to 24 hours after release. If not fertilized, it disintegrates and is absorbed into the uterine lining.
Emergency contraceptive pills are most effective if taken within 72 hours after sex. The larger dose of the hormone in the pill can have a strong effect on your body beside preventing pregnancy. I apologize that this is not the direct answer which you probably want. Hopefully,I have highlighted some points to help you make a decision. In the future to avoid a similar dilemma, your partner must use a condom from the start and you should consider a form of birth control that is right for you.
