I know this posting is old, but I did have bleeding every 4 weeks throughout my first pregnancy. At first, they didn't find his heartbeat and told me I was having a threatened miscarriage. He was fine, and the bleeding continued through the entire pregnancy. Each month, I would call the advice nurse, and she would have me come in for an ultrasound. They never did determine what caused the bleeding, as you obviously shouldn't have a period. During my second pregnancy, I experienced bleeding, although not every month as with my first. Both pregnancies carried to term and resulted in healthy babies. So, while it is technically impossible to have a true period when pregnant, for some reason, in my case, there was monthly bleeding.
