I got the Mirena IUD about 3 months ago because the nurses and doctors at the clinic recommended it highly compared to the copper IUD that apparently makes periods much more intense and long (I already have long painful 5 day periods normally) and for the past 4 months that I've had it I've had more days spotting than not, most days with cramping, and my sex drive has almost completely disappeared. I barely get aroused at all in day, which is not fun for me or my husband. Plus he can never go down on me because I've been almost constantly spotting! Wish I could get my $400 back when I get it removed. So glad I found this thread!
