Are you trying to prohibit pregnancy? The best way is to consistently take your birth control. If you are having difficulty remembering, perhaps a different form of birth control, or regularly using a back-up method would help alleviate concern.
As I'm sure you are well aware, pregnancy symptoms often are similar to pre-menstrual symptoms. If you miss your period, you can take a home pregnancy test to verify a possible pregnancy, or irregular period. If you truly are concerned, call the doctor that prescribed your birth control to ask them what they think or if you should be seen by the doctor.
Good luck and let us know how you are doing.
