While J&J says no problem, nothing to worry about, the fact remains that there are carcinogens in their products intended to be used on newborns and that they could easily reformulate their products to make sure these toxic chemicals aren't in their products, like many of their competitors have. The fact that Europe bans 1,4 dioxane (a carcinogen)and Japan and Sweden ban formaldehyde (not only a carcinogen, but a cause of contact dermatitis), while the FDA does nothing since it has so little power to keep toxics out of bodycare products, should give J&J and other companies reason enough to move to safer, greener production to protect our most vulnerable--newborns and small children!
www.safecosmetics.org has been helpful in my family finding these safer alternatives. c'mon J&J. . .get with the move to making our economy green and stop putting toxic chemicals on our kids!
