Thank you, Mary, for your deeply touching story. My daughter also suffered from anorexia from the age of 12 until 24 when she sought professional help. Until then, it was agonizing those last four years watching a beautiful young woman waste away. She is currently well, but we never know if she will revert to the disease in the future when stressors and other factors may affect her.
It was for girls like our daughters and ourselves I wrote the children's book Thin Club so that we may all talk about this illness and find ways for anyone who struggles with an eating disorder to find help and healing.
