I would like to know too. I had Cynosure Cynergy laser in the 1064nm setting which, I've been told, is the same as the Cutera CoolGlide. It's still there, bigger and darker than when I started these treatments. In my previous post, I was asking about the recovery period. I will tell you that the VL lesion swelled up to the point it looked like it was going to pop. I was very worried. It started to recede by day 4 and within a couple of weeks it looked like it was getting smaller, receding and possibly disappearing all together. By week 4/week 5, it started to rear it's ugly head again but bigger and darker this time. A Physician's Assistant suggested the bulge could be due to scar tissue since I've had repeated laser treatments. I'm at a loss at this point. I think I'm going to try one more laser, either the Alexandrite (755 setting) or another 1064. If this doesn't work then I might have to go to plastic surgury. I began this journey with a flat light bluish spot on my lip that I could easily cover up and no one, or sometimes even I never noticed. I was trying to be proactive with a laser treatment and at this point it has caused more harm than good. I should have never done this. Also, for some reason I can't find a practitioner in the DC area that uses the Cutera Coolglide for Venous Lakes, only for laser hair removal. Any recommendations or advice is appreciated.
