I just came home from seeing a heart specialist - because the pain is similar to a heart attach - pain down the arm, shoulder, back and chest. I had an ekg, chest xray, and stress test - all came back normal. The surgeon feels the pain is nerve and muscle related - I told him about the flu shot and that I got it almost in my armpit and he didn't poo poo the idea. Actually, he said that area has a lot of nerves. I truly think he thinks it is from the shot, too. I will never have another one, and this is coming from someone who swore by them. Good luck to all - this pain is horrible.
