I recently had a procedure done. I explained to the nurse practitioner that I had both fallopian tubes and one ovary removed years ago. She asked if I was infertile. I told her, my assumption is that I am in fact unable to have any more children. She told me that because the tubes are not there doesn't mean I can't get pregnant. I am astonished. I'm in my early 40's and have 4 grown children and 3 grandchildren, seriously don't even know what I would do if I got pregnant this stage in my life. Birth control method here I come.
