Thank you for the reminder about hot lemon water. It used to be part of my daily ritual. Ever since I started a new contract and have to commute, my daily rituals have fallen apart!
Now for the "demystification" of detoxing. There are opposing views in the medical and nutritional worlds about the need to detox the liver and detoxing for weight loss. Dr. Susan's warning about OTC products and detox diets is a welcome break from the flurry of detox "plans" I see in publications and print. Even though I have met one of the most popular author/advocates of a particular detox plan, I've long been skeptical about whether or not one really can detox the liver. So, I wanted to share some contrarian information:
