It is strange how linked our emotions are with our physical health!

I physically "feel" ill when I am mad at my husband, especially when my mind takes me down the awful road of negative thoughts: "...he always does this..." or "...I was mad first, he has no right to be mad at me..." or "...I'm going to withhold any kind gestures until he can prove that he is capable of communicating...".

It's amusing to read my thoughts...when I'm angry at my husband, these are legitimate, angry, thoughts that circulate in my head! When it happens (rarely, thank goodness), then I do feel my stomach is upset, I get a headache, I am UNUSUALLY tired and my shoulders are tight and stiff. It's not until I write down my thoughts and I read the words "always", "I'll show him by withholding XYZ" or "I'm right/he's wrong" mentality that it reminds me that I may not be fighting fair and need to lighten up and focus on the situation itself.

Emotions are powerful creatures, but thankfully are temporary, fleeting, ever-changing and controllable! :-)
