Cutting alcohol

I have a bad habit of to much alcohol at night to sleep. If I stop drinking all week and just drink 2 drinks (for woman) on the weekend. What can I take to sleep? I sleep only an hour and wake up every hour. I need to get my triglycerides down. Thank you.

Hello. Thank you for writing.

Your pharmacist might be able to recommend an over-the-counter sleeping aid, but you should not drink when taking it. Some people find having a glass of warm milk or Chamomile tea relaxing before bedtime.

Lifestyle changes that include a healthy diet can help to lower both triglycerides and your cholesterol levels.
