Hello and thank you to NurseElaine for starting this Group!
Urinary incontinence isn't unusual - especially as we get older. But getting older isn't the only reason it happens - pregnancy and childbirth can be a factor, hysterectomies, neurological conditions, as well as pelvic and bladder conditions. The list goes on.
Please use this Group to ask for help, share your own tips and experiences or let us know if you have undergone a treatment that has really helped.
We hope to hear from new members soon!
~Susan
I haven't written anything in this group for a while, but have recently been talking about urge incontinence other places. It seems as if it is much scarier than stress incontinence since it can happen without something causing it, like a hearty laugh or lifting something heavy. Also, many women have both, which is even more concerning. In either case, unexpected leakage is unwanted and distressing. I am happy to talk further about this, answer any questions or just listen.
