It’s a simple equation: if you eat more calories than you burn, you will not lose weight. But if you create a calorie deficit in your daily eating, you will lose weight.

It all comes down to calories and preference. If you prefer to eat small, healthy meals to keep you from getting hungry, and you have time to eat this way, then do that. If you don’t have time to search for healthy choices five times a day and keep mindful each time so you don’t go overboard on calories, then this type of eating may not be right for you.

According to an article posted on RunnersWorld.com, no scientific evidence has shown to prove that eating smaller meals is any more beneficial than three well-balanced meals when it comes to weight loss. The key is portion control, and making healthy choices.
