For those of you following my story, you may remember I have been dealing with issues such as a slightly hypo thyroid condition, a low progesterone level and a uterine fibroid.
Well, here is the good news:
As mentioned earlier in posts, my thyroid levels are now in check (I currently take a thyroid support supplement). Also, I just found out that my progesterone levels are in a good range now (I have been taking a progesterone supplement). I also found out that my estrogen level is in a good range now, too (too much estrogen can increase fibroid size).
OK, here is the not so good news:
My fibroid needs to be taken out. I was hoping to be able to wait a little longer, but the symptoms are really bothering me. The worst part is the lack of sleep. The fibroid is pressing on my bladder and I have to get up several times a night to go to the bathroom. I have resorted to sleeping sitting up, since it does make things a little better. I can't remember the last time I had a full, uninterrupted 8 hours of sleep!
So, I am looking into surgical options over the next week or so. I have already gotten one consult and I am going to have a couple more. I will keep you posted!

It is called Thyroid Support. I am not sure what brand. I think it is from Professional Solutions. I don't have plans for a thyroid ultrasound right now. And yes, I am focusing on fibroid removal.

I very much appreciate you sharing your story with us; I wasn't aware that fibroids could cause frequent urination (though it makes perfect sense once they get to a certain size).
Are you focusing on just removal of the fibroid itself? Of course they can be removed surgically, but I wanted to also be sure you knew about Uterine Fibroid Embolization:

Here is the Mayo Clinic's page on treatments for fibroids, both surgical and non-surgical:

I hope you have a stress-free decision-making time, and that the option you choose goes super-smoothly. I'll be interested to read developments as they happen.
