Why r doctors now refusing to write narcotic opioids for chronic pain like RSD when they gave them to u for years?

Hello. Thank you for writing.

The reason is likely because of the huge Opioid crisis,  here in the US and globally.  Many doctors are cutting back on prescribing (highly addictive) pain medications. That said, there are some patients that are being cut off from medications they truly need, also.

I have such a bad back that it keeps getting fractured from nothing. I’ve had kyfoplasty which did nothing for me. I need morphine 30 mg every 12 hours. If I were cut off I don’t think I could live with constant pain. I still have pain on Morphine usually 9 on the pain scale.
