Guide

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
Causes of hyperthyroidism include: Graves' disease, toxic adenoma, Plummer's disease (toxic multinodular goiter) and thyroiditis. There are 3 treatments available for hyperthyroidism including: radioactive iodine, medications, and sometimes surgery. If you have been diagnosed, you need to speak with your doctor about which treatment is best for you.
