Q:

What can cause post menopausal bleeding?

Have had two episodes of PMB and just had transvag u/s. Test was done on Wednesday, results received by doc's office on Friday last week. Unfortunately, doc had already gone home when I called to find out results. Nurse was unable to tell me results but assured me that it wasn't cancer. Also said there would be more tests. What could it be? I will definitely be calling doc's office again on Monday but in the meantime I'm worrying myself silly. Can anyone provide any reassuring information?

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
Postmenopausal bleeding can be caused by a number of things. Most of the common causes are not very serious. Below I have pasted a link to an article that lists all the possible causes.

I hope that helps.
