Guide

Hello. Thank you for posting.

The ribs partially enclose and protect the chest cavity, where many vital organs (including the heart and the lungs) are located.

The area under the left rib cage has a bearing on many internal organs of our body. We cannot know what is causing your pain. An evaluation by a doctor is needed.

The smaller lobe of the liver, spleen, pancreas, stomach, left adrenal gland, left kidney, left ureter, left Fallopian tube (female) left ovary (female), left testis (male), the descending colon, sigmoid colon, rectosigmoid colon, and the rectum are all on the left side of the body underneath the rib cage.
