please oh please help calm my mind! Since june 29th, my body has gone haywire. I bled on the 29th like i was going to have a period; I only bled for one day. it had only been 9 days after my last period had ended.(actually i have pcos and i have been taking provera to have a cycle) Since the 29th i have been cramping randomly (although not for the past few days) but i have a tight pressure in my lower belly, my lower back hurts, my boobs hurt, my head really hurts, i have had bad heartburn since the 3rd (even tho i am on zantac since January, i have had to start taking tums just to be able to function). I am cranky (according to my hubby), i just feel bla. Today i took a pg test twice, first time= a horizontal line in control window and a dot in other window (this result isnt even an option, should have been 2 vertical lines=prego, or 1 line= not prego) so i took another one, but the test was faulty. I called my nurse, and she said to come in tomorrow to take a pg test...I don't think I am prego (ild love to be, but i had a chem pg last fall, and i wont get my hopes up), but i dont know what else this could be? my mind won't stop thinking about it. any thoughts on what is going on?

Would Someone be able to help me? My last period was May 31s usually on a 28-29 day cycle. Me and my boyfriend was trying to have a baby. We have been having unprotected sex for the last month and for the last 12 days or so he has been coming in me. Anyways we just had a nasty break up and now I am worried that I may be pregnant and may have to raise this child on my own. My period isn't due until around the 28 or 29th of this month and I usually don't get cramps until a day before my period but I have been getting a lot of cramps. I have no appetite and I am feeling extremely tired lately. I took a home test but I think it's too soon to tell because the test came back negative. Is it possible that I could be pregnant? Help! It's killing to wait until next week to find out!

hi - first month when we are trying to make a baby. I`m not maintaining any charts but I know I ovulated on May 31. We had sex a day before & a day after (=yesterday). Since yesterday I`m having mild uterus cramps (even today) and feel some tension in there (I`m stressing out the poor thing??) and at one point yesterday I also had some lower back pain. Obviously time will tell, if it means something or not.. I might be just hypochondriac :-) well I was just wondering if conceiving might cause such a little pain or certainly this is caused by something else?

Hello Anonymous,
If indeed you did conceive on May 30 or June 1, you should not feel anything. There is no pain associated with the process of conception.

Conception means the fertilization of the egg by the sperm. The physical act of sexual intercourse, which is necessary for conception, can occur anywhere from a week to a couple of hours before an egg becomes fertilized. Implantation refers to the process in which the fertilized egg, also known as the blastocyst, becomes attached to the wall of the uterus and starts to produce hCG.

it can be as many as 7 to 14 days between the time of sexual intercourse and the time that the fertilized egg implants in the uterus.

The mild cramping and lower back pain can simply be premenstrual symptoms.

hello there again.. just another thing kicked in and I`m very curious. I`m a night owl (easily stay awake until 2-3am) and the past 3 days this totally changed. Friday I passed out around 9pm, yesterday was ok, but today: I had a nap in the afternoon & it is only 8.30 and I`m barely alive... When is the earliest I can test? thanks!

Hello,
Levels of hCG, which is a hormone produced during pregnancy, can first be detected by a blood test about 11 days after conception and about 12 to 14 day after conception by a urine test.

If your period is late, wait one week and test.

Hello pinky87,

Did you have a period in May before yesterday? According to your post, you mention having a period that started on April 20 and then the period which started yesterday.

The lower back pain that is negatively impacting your ability to walk or bend is of concern. You may need to have a pelvic ultrasound to discover the cause. Consult your gynecologist and schedule an appointment.
