HERWriter Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

Black stool can indicate bleeding in the upper gastrointestinal tract, such as the stomach.
It can be caused by a bleeding ulcer or taking iron supplements or very dark foods in you diet, although that doesn't seem to be the case with you. If this is uncommon for you, call your doctor.
Best,
Susan
