How to get rid of REALLY bad period pain?

Over the last couple of months my cramps have gotten worse and worse, to the point where I can barely walk. This is a very big problem because sometimes I can't even get out of bed the pain is so bad. The only thing that seems to work is 3 ibuprofen, a very warm heating pad, and sleep - all together. This is fine for weekends and nights, but I need something that will help during the long run, and most of all at school. I don't want my period to stop me from living my daily life. If possible, please also recommend something to help a rather heavy flow. Thank you!

I'm 16 about to be 17, and my cramps are really bad. Its to the point were I cry in the middle of the night and don't want to go anywhere. I take menstrual pills for the cramps and sometimes it works but sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't I feel this horrible pain in my stomach. I get really emotional, and cry. It hurts so bad, I can't even explain the pain. Any suggestions?

Hello Anonymous,

Consider scheduling an appointment with a gynecologist, who might prescribe birth control pills to help relieve the painful premenstrual symptoms. I would have the horrible stomach pain checked out soon.

Hello Anonymous,

If taking Naproxen relieves your pain, just buy another bottle.

Just got my period again and I thought my cramps weren't gonna be that bad this time, but they slowly getting more painful now. The thing that really sucks is that my gag reflex is really strong and I can't just swallow some pills, neither can I drink them. I'm in so much pain right now, I'm glad that I'm not one of those girls who gets sick during her period, but I do get really bad cramps.

Try drinking some pills for it, lay down on your house sofa with your legs more up then the rest of your body, do a few walks all over your house.

I am 15, I am actually on my period, I have drinked 3 pills and it haven't really help, it just get worst, but, walking around my house and liying on the sofa with my legs up is kinda redusing the pain, maybe it helps.

I haven't sleep either, or eat cause when I am on my period everything makes me throw up.

I know I am really late, but I hope it helps you and others.

Good luck!
