hi I'm 24 and my bf is 20. we have been dating for 3yrs and about 2of those have been long distant. I look like I'm 18 and people often assume I am. He thinks we are same. I want to tell him the truth but I'm afraid of hurting him tho I knw not saying anything is also bad.we want to move in together and he wants to get married. I'm thinking of telling him next time I see him or should I just break up w/him? would tht be less hurtful? I really love him and dnt wish to hurt him. wht should I do?

Dear Kalioko! I'm 21 year old male and would not mind to have a gf of 23,24 year old etc.
Many boys love to have relationship with older females.
What you need to do is tell him the truth before it's late.
If he loves you he will never mind your age and after all there's just a difference of 4 years which isn't a big deal.
Wish you all the best

thanks for your comment! I actually talked to him about it already after reading first comment by rosa. I told him I had a secret to tell him and I would understand if he wanted to break up with me. it turns out he thought I was lieying about my age. when I told him I was older he breathe a sigh of relief and said "oh my gosh thank god you're not 17". Not sure if I should feel flattered but oh wells. the important is I told him and he's cool with it. thx again! ^^

Kalioko,

The truth is the only way to go. It has already taken you long enough to come clean-- don't let it go any longer. He may forgive you now and honestly a lot of men don't seem to have an issue dating older women. The issue you have created for yourself is that you lied. So, tell him the truth and be sincerely apologetic because it is a big lie. If you keep letting him believe that you are younger than you really are he will eventually find out the truth especially if you do move in together and it will be a MUCH bigger deal.

Be honest,

Rosa
