Hi, I'm 23 years old lady and I'm still a virgin. I have a bf and we've been together for more than 4 years. We never had 'real' penetration or sexual intercourse (saving it for the marriage). But today we made out and he only put his tip into me (only like half an inch to an inch) but did not cum in me. I am just a little concerned and went online to search for answers, and some people even mentioned that with what i've done, i'm actually not a virgin anymore! but no pain no blood flow happened.

Anyway, my question is, will i get pregnant this way? isit really true that if sperm was only near the vagina, i will get pregnant?

only supportive and real answers please.. i know i shud've used contraception, but it was our first time, and we didn't really planned for it to happen.

thanks..

Hi anonymous,
Alison is right. As I suggested to another community guest a few weeks ago: "In the act of sexual activity, even in the act of participating in sports, and personal hygiene maintenance, the hymen could be broken. Anytime there is penis to vagina contact, there is a risk of pregnancy. The risk is small without full penetration, however, the activity still is risky especially where there is any kind of ejaculatory and/or pre-ejaculatory fluid present, both of which can contain sperm."

Hope the additional information helps. Good luck!

This is one very useful and great thread. I have a small doubt. Is pregnancy possible even if the girl's hymen is not broken? When a tip of the penis is inserted generally hymen is not broken right? Please answer.
Thanking you very much...

Hi,
I am not sure the exact order of events, but here is what I think you are saying:

If your boyfriend ejaculated, wiped off the ejaculatory fluid from his penis, then afterwards his penis may/may not have touched the outside of vagina, there would not be a need to use emergency contraception.

There is the slightest chance that sperm may still have been on the tip of his penis after wiping it off, and it is important to know that if there was enough ejaculatory fluid (containing sperm) and his penis actually penetrated your vagina...there is a small risk of pregnancy in theory. It is such a small risk (and only in theory, I do not believe there are any documented cases of a pregnancy actually occurring in this manner), that it would still not be necessary to take the pill.

The question is if he had a lot of ejaculatory fluid on his penis, and if he penetrated you...you would want to take emergency contraception.

Does that help? Sorry---it is not a yes/no or black/white situation!

Hey i am 15 and a half. i wanted to ask a question. i do not want to lose my virginity because of my religion, i can only lose it on the marriage day, not before marriage.
If mmy boyfriend and i have dry sex with our clothes on and he rubs his penis on my vagina, can i lose my virginity? and other thing if were wearing underwear and he cums on me can i get pregnant?

Hi Sydney,
"Dry sex" means there is no bodily fluids that come into contact with the other person, so both people would need to have their clothes on.

Losing one's virginity would mean that your boyfriend's penis is inserted into your vagina. This is not possible with clothes on. He can rub his penis on your vagina OVER underwear, and as long as his penis does not "slip" or enter your vagina, you would still be considered a virgin.

If you wear underwear, and your boyfriend is rubbing his penis on your vagina (OVER your underwear) and he ejaculates, semen could potentially spill over your underwear on the side... you know how your underwear does not hug tightly against your body at your thighs? There are big gaps in women's underwear, and it is plausible in the right circumstances that in the "heat of the moment" that enough quantity and force of ejaculatory fluid could come into contact with the vagina.

Basically, however, penetration of the penis into the vagina needs to occur for a pregnancy to be possible.

If you BOTH have clothes on, and he ejaculates, his sperm can not go through clothes. This would be considered "safer sex" and "dry sex", and is a great option for you to be physically intimate with your boyfriend, while protecting your virginity and zero chances of pregnancy.

hii. i'm 15 years old and i'm a virgin. a week ago my boyfriend and i were fooling around...i gave him a hand job :$ and he ejaculated on himself. as far as i know, i did not come into contact with his sperm. but i cannot be sure of that. i read over the internet and it says you can get pregnant even if you're still a virgin, that if the sperm gets on his hands, and he touches my hand and then... well are there any possibilities that this happened? i am 4 days late on my periods and i'm starting to get EXTREMELY worried! what should i do? :( PLEASE someone reply asap!! :S
