I understand how you feel. I do not believe the doctors are telling their patients EVERYTHING. They are only telling us the positive aspects of it. The doctors fail to mention the cramps being so bad you vomit, the nights curled up on the couch in the fetal position, the feeling like you are bleeding uncontrolably. The bleeding and cramping can be extremely debilitating....I do not want to leave the house anymore and it's only been 2 weeks + 1 day for me. It is all I can do to get through a day of work. And I might put in for FMLA time except for the fact that I'm sure my doctor would not sign the papers. And I have been told to give it a full 6 months before considering it a failure.....if I am feeling the need to be confined to my house then it has already failed me. And I am 36 years old who has had 4 children....the last of which was 10 lbs delivered vaginally so I DO understand true pain and this goes far beyond that.
I'm sure if the doctors performing this (mine in particular whom I have been seeing for years!!) had to sit around in a diaper full of their own excrements, writhing in pain, this procedure would have been removed from the market faster than it was introduced. I think doctors have found a way to make a quick $5080 bucks....that's what they charged my insurance company.
