I recently had the Her Option procedure done (9/22/09) and personally I would not recommend this for anyone!! The doctor made this sound like such a breeze, well I can personally attest to the fact that it is the furthest thing from a "breeze"! The doctor said it was perfect for me since I was having very long periods and had developed anemia. He said it was so simple that I could even return to work the next day.....so not true!! The procedure went well only because I was so drugged up but the after effects are so not worth it!! Only have this done if you do not work or particularly like the feel of a nasty, bloody pad all over you, all day long. It's far worse than my periods ever were. Not only did I not return to work the very next day, but so far I have managed to miss 4 entire days of work and had to take my lunch breaks on the other days to go home and change because I have ruined my clothes yet again. Plus, this very easy, simple procedure has cost me $80.00 in ruined desk chairs at work. I am now sleeping on my leather couch so as not to ruin my mattress and lucky me this may go on for 6 months or longer. I think this procedure needs to be renamed "use only as a last option".
