Hi there. I had the Her Option procedure done on Aug 28. I have two children, both delivered vaginally. After my second, my periods got progressively worse - no cramping to speak of but unpredictable, heavy and long. Every 2-3 weeks I would start to spot for 2-3 days and then have a full on 5-7 day period, at least 2-3 of those days heavy. I chose the cryoablation because I could not go on birth control due to the side effects and didn't want the risks of hysterectomy. I feel my doctor informed me of everything I needed, both pre and post procedure.
The procedure itself was not painful but I would describe it as uncomfortable. It took about 45 minutes total freezing time - my doctor freezes in "zones" and has found that to be more successful. About 20 mins after the procedure, I experienced pain I would describe as full on labor pains. I wasn't exactly expecting that but it was over in another 30 minutes. I was able to return to work on Monday with no issues other than mild bloating. For the first week, I had the watery pink discharge and then nothing for another week. I was suspicious because I was told this would go on for 2 weeks. The 3rd week, the watery pink discharged returned. This week was relatively nothing to speak of until tonight. With no warning, a flood appeared. Every time I stand up, I feel as though the flood gates are opening. I've passed a few large clots (similar to those passed after child birth) and I'm soaking a super-overnight pad every hour or so. No cramping, thankfully. Since my cycle is very unpredictable, I only have to assume this is my first period post procedure.
I'm hopeful that having had this procedure will help over the long run. I'll check in from time to time and update my progress.

Thanks - reading these posts have been extremely helpful!
